Manzello
Rahsaan Roland Kirk played every member of the saxophone family and discovered novelty instruments such as the manzello and the stritch (both black sheep of the saxophone family). Kirk also tinkered with and reshaped his standard saxes and mastered the technique of “circular breathing,” which allowed him to play uninterruptedly.
